Brief Description

Carpet beetle larvae are the larval stage of carpet beetles (Dermestidae). They are small, worm-like insects that feed on a variety of natural fibers, including wool, silk, feathers, and hair. They are considered pests because they can damage carpets, clothing, and other household items. Carpet beetle larvae are typically brown or black in color and have hairy bodies. They can grow up to 12 mm in length. Carpet beetle larvae go through several molts before pupating and emerging as adult carpet beetles.
