Terms of Service for Nature Identifier
1. Introduction
Welcome to Nature Identifier, owned and operated by Kawaii, Inc., an AI-powered identification application. These Terms of Service ("ToS") are a legal contract between you, the user, and Nature Identifier ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your use of the Nature Identifier application and services.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using Nature Identifier, you agree to be bound by these ToS. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, do not use Nature Identifier.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Nature Identifier. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account.

6. Disclaimer Agreement
By using Nature Identifier, you also agree to the terms outlined in our AI Identification Disclaimer. The Disclaimer includes important information about the limitations of our AI-powered identifications and of every other piece of information presented on Nature Identifier — including the encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and community submissions — all of which may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information and must not be relied on as expert, safety, medical, legal, or financial advice. The Disclaimer is an integral part of these Terms, and your use of Nature Identifier is subject to your acceptance of both.
7. Encyclopedia and Reference Content
Nature Identifier may include an encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and other informational content (“Reference Content”). Reference Content is compiled and generated with the help of automated tools and AI models and is provided for general informational purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and it has not been reviewed by qualified experts. We make no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Reference Content or of any other information presented on Nature Identifier, and you agree not to rely on it as a substitute for professional advice or for any decision that could affect your health, safety, property, legal rights, or finances. Images shown with Reference Content may be illustrative rather than exact matches. If you believe something is wrong, please let us know at [email protected] and we will review it.
8. Content and Conduct
- Illegal or unlawful content.
- Infringing content that violates intellectual property rights.
- Content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, offensive, hateful, or promotes violence or harm.
- Content that violates privacy or publicity rights.
9. License Grant to Nature Identifier
By using Nature Identifier and its related apps, websites, and services (the “Services”), you grant to Nature Identifier, its successors, and assigns a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and/or distribute any content you submit, create, or make available through the Services — including without limitation the photos and images you upload for identification; the notes, descriptions, locations, and other text you provide with them; the identifications, descriptions, estimates, and any other output produced by the Services at your direction; any collections, lists, or albums you assemble, including their names and the selection and arrangement of the items they contain; and your profile information, including your username, display name, profile picture, bio, and any links you add — regardless of whether an identification’s or collection’s visibility is public or private. This includes the right to display your uploaded photos and identifications on the community feed, on encyclopedia, species, tag, and search pages, on the websites and apps of Nature Identifier and its affiliates, and in marketing for the Services. For clarity, changing an identification’s or a collection’s visibility from public to private does not revoke or limit the license granted under this section with respect to that identification, that collection, or any content associated with it. The license granted to Nature Identifier remains in effect even after termination of this Agreement by any party, for any reason.
10. Privacy Policy
Your use of Nature Identifier is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information that pertains to your privacy.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nature Identifier and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
12. Changes to Terms
Nature Identifier reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new ToS on the service.
13. Termination
Nature Identifier may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these ToS.
